About Del City Library
Library service in Del City predates the formation of the Metropolitan Library System. In 1958, the original library opened at 3644 SE 15. In 1965, it joined the Metropolitan Library System and in 1966, it moved to the Del City Community Center at 4509 SE 15. In 2012, the citizens of Del City approved a sales tax initiative to cover (along with other things) the cost of building a new library. Ground was broken on the new building in 2019, and in 2021, after 55 years in the Del City Community Center, the library opened in its new, state-of-the-art, standalone location at 4330 SE 15.
The Del City Library offers a broad array of services, including public access computers, free Wi-Fi, copy/scan/fax/printing services, unique computer stations in the children’s area designed for use by parents with small children, programs and events for all ages, and a robust local collection of physical materials for all interests and tastes. Additionally, the library features two study rooms and two large meeting rooms that can be booked and used by the public.
Book drop: Drive-up return located on the east side, inset into the wall, accessible by driving around the back of the building.
Public transit:

The OKC Mobile Market offers fresh produce to residents of Oklahoma County at no cost. We know that access to fresh fruit and vegetables is a barrier for many folks in the community, not only due to food deserts, but also the rising cost of food.
